Mishloach Manot (Purim Baskets)
The CBE Religious School is making Mishloach Manot (Purim Baskets) for all CBE member families, and we need YOUR sponsorship to do it! Sponsor one, two, or three member baskets, and buy additional baskets to give to other recipients yourself!
Your “portion” will spread kindness in the community as well as raise much-needed funds for our school.
Each basket will contain treats and self-care items.
Sponsored member baskets will be given out to members at the Purim Shabbat Service, Friday March 14th, 2025. You will also be able to pick up any purchased baskets then.
Those members who are not able to come to the service will have their baskets hand-delivered in the following days.
What is “Mishloach Manot”?
Mishloach Manot literally means "sending of portions”. Also known as a “Purim Basket”, these are gifts of food or drink that are sent to family, friends, and others on Purim day. The mitzvah of giving mishloach manot derives from the Book of Esther. It is meant to ensure that everyone has enough food for the Purim feast held later in the day, and to increase love and friendship among Jews and their neighbors.
